What a big girl!

Emma had her 6 month appointment today and she sure is growing. At 6 months and a few days, she now weighs 18 pounds, 2 ounces and is 28 inches long. She had 4 shots today--poor girl.

Back to School

Over the past few weeks, the question that I have been asked time and time again has to do with school. Do I miss it? Do I regret my decision? Am I enjoying my time at home? I do have to admit that the past few weeks have been a bit strange, but I wouldn't change a thing. Staying at home is such a change of pace from working full time. Certainly, taking care of Emma is busy and sometimes stressful, but it does not even compare to full time work. I have been able to enjoy life more. I have TIME to enjoy life more. It's unbelievable.
At the same time, all of this freedom is a little bit strange. For the past several years, I have worked hard and have been busy. In school, I worked hard. When I taught, I put my entire heart and soul into my job. Now that I am home all day, there are times I feel a bit lazy--not having any outside responsibilities--but trust me, I've gotten over it!
